RealtimeSync - how do I see what batches it will run, change them, etc.?

Hi - I'm really starting to enjoy (and pull out) some of the power of FFS - with RealTimeSync being the next part i really want to tackle/integrate.
1) i've created several separate criteria that seem to work well independently - i want to monitor about 4 directories, have them change, and later have somethign else change as a result (i.e. i'm mirroring like crazy).
i can't find where i can see what batches are actually set to run, where they're stored, how to remove, etc. - i've installed under windows 7, and have checked my install directory, and the appdata/ffs (spelled out) but can't find any configuration files or way to see what's going on, and edit/delete.
many thanks for any information you're able to provide!

When RTS is running it is shown in systray on lower right of the screen. Unfortunately Win7 creates new (and solves other) usability problems by hiding new applications there by default. So you need to click on the small arrow button to see the RTS icon(s).
Each RTS instance will have a new icon there, this is basically the list.

>but can't find any configuration files

If you didn't save the files, FFS stores "LastRun.ffs_real and LastRun.ffs_batch" files at the locations you already searched for. If not, you should know where you saved them :)

thank you for the quick reply. yeah, kinda obvious that i should have looked on the lower corner - where i can see the multiple RealTimeSync instances, and i can open them. the next question becomes, by hitting "exit" for that instance, does it go away forever? and for that matter, how can i enable my multiple RealTimeSync instances on boot - via a startup command? again, many thanks.
part of what i'm doing with FFS is making tasks that run at certain times, to catch the folders where changes may not be picked up by RealTimeSync as i read it won't pick up a change while it is coping a change - make sense?
i believe i can set up a delay for changes - ultimately, i'd like directory A to go from Drive A to Drive B, and then from Drive B to Drive C - so i'd like to cascade the mirroring - any suggestions on how to do it other than multiple tasks spread a few minutes apart?
thanks again!

Yes and via shortcut into startup. Help file section "Run as Service" might be relevant for you.

If you setup a recurring sync, you probably don't need RTS anymore... Anyway it all depends on how current your backup needs to be.

>as i read it won't pick up a change while it is coping a change - make sense?

Yes, but those changes will be caught upon detection of next change, so unless there is no "next change", this isn't a severe limitation.

By default FFS employs folder-level locking so you don't need to include a spread manually. Just start the syncs you need at the time you need them.

Again, many many thanks for the quick reply.
I'm finding I'm getting an issue - that my backups while being created have a .tmp suffix and FFS chokes on those - then i'll have multiple instances that are locked for hours at a time because of the underlying error. i've tried to specify ignore error but it won't seem to "stick" - while at it, i'd love a feature to exclude files that contain certain names, or suffixes - do you anticipate that perhaps in the future?
again, many many thanks!

File exclusion can be found on the lower part of FFS's main dialog. Are these errors caused by FFS in some way? IOW, is there a todo for FFS?

as always, thank you for the quick reply, and as usual, if the feature is there and i missed it, well, i apologize for wasting time (and bandwidth!)
i THINK the primary issue is that when a backup is being created by my software, it creates a tmp file which i believe is preventing FFS from getting past it, and then i get the error message - i try to ignore (and select ignore all errors) but it comes back on the next go around - if i exclude .tmp extensions that should resolve the issue. i have about 4 different tasks running with ffs and different batches, and ALSO have the RealTimeSync running (maybe i'll remove one or the other - i'm being neurotic) - i LIKE having the RealTimeSync, and i like having "bookends" in the morning in evening so i feel that ffs takes one last look at the directories for changes and movement. i'll look to exclude the .tmp extension.
thanks again!
