I'd like to have copy of documents folder on OD and use FFS to copy to external hard-drive. I have explorer on PC but some of the files are still in cloud(70GB) but on PC only 8GB. What's the best way to get all 70GB sync to hard-drive?
thanks

You have to have them all saved locally to sync to other local locations

Assuming the initial limitation for the 1st sync is to have all OneDrive files locally on the PC.
What happens if you later select that sync'd OneDrive folder on the PC and choose the OneDrive option "Free Up Space" ? At the next sync will FFS detect that the freed up files files are now just "placeholders" and then change the files on the external drive to reflect this?

No, FFS will see the files as if they exist as a whole locally downloaded file. It simply wouldn't do anything on the destination. Until something changes, of course, thus prompting a difference being detected between the OneDrive copy and the external drive copy and being back to the original issueAssuming the initial limitation for the 1st sync is to have all OneDrive files locally on the PC.

That's a great solution then if someone doesn't want to keep all their files locally.
