Wipe ".sync.ffs_db"

Ocassionally, I get FFS errors because I drive lost connection. When this happens, ocassioanly it will read that the target files are present because the ".sync.ffs_db" file in the target directory says they are (even if they aren't). I've found the best way to check for this is to remove that .fss_db file and hit "compare" again. Is there a smarter way for me to do this other than manually finding all the .fss_db files? Can I remove them all in one go and do a compare from scratch? Thanks
