Hello all,
New to this program and it is strange... why does it want to delete files instead of synchronizing them???
See screenshot: https://postimg.cc/FfMDXws2
Notice how there is a whole folder at the top that it wants to delete instead of just synchronizing (copying) it to the right side, same as a whole bunch of photos in the Hong Kong folder that it wants to delete instead of copying them to the right side, on the M drive, where they are absent.
I guess I don't understand the definition of "synchronize"? When I look up the definition, it always seems to be described as something that happens simultaneously, definitions don't mentions duplication of exact copies at two different places... so how are you guys defining "synchronization", since the software is apparently not going to make both sides identical in file presence?
Thanks.
New and perplexed... Hello everyone!

Your picture suggests:
• You have run the sync previously, at the end of which both sides were in sync.
• You have since then removed the right-side folders Business\HDR'd and HongKong or at least the shown files in those folders. This removal can have been a plain deletion, or instead, a move of said right-side files to outside your M:\!!!!!!!!!!!Favourites location (or any of its subfolders).
When now running a renewed sync, FreeFileSync (FFS) notices that said files have been removed from your right-side location since running your last sync, and now intends to sync that removal action to your left-side location.
