I have been using your brilliant app for years but yesterday for the first time I discovered ffs_gui files in my Documents folder.
I had never seen them there before so stupidly deleted them, but then found that all my syncs were missing from the main app UI.
I have restored them from Recycle Bin and put them back in the UI correctly, thankfully.
So my simple questions are - Why were they in Documents when they had never been there before, and where were they going before that (when they always stayed in the UI) ?
Then how do I put things back as they were beforehand ?
It's confusing to see them in Documents when |I never did previously.
Has an app update changed this or have I missed a setting somewhere ?
My ffs_gui files went into Documents ?

Your sync configurations are saved where ever you tell them to be saved when using Save As in the FFS GUI.
FFS then opens the Windows Save As window, with as default location the location where you last saved a file using the Windows Save As window, from whatever application.
So, likely you saved something in Documents in another application prior to saving one or more *.ffs_gui files and did not change the location from Documents into where you want the *.ffs_gui files to be saved.

They were probably there since the first time you used FFS and saved your configs there. Why were they in Documents when they had never been there before, and where were they going before that (when they always stayed in the UI) ?

The only way to put "things back as they were" is for you to know how "they were", which it doesn't sound like you do

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm almost certain that I have never knowingly saved configs to documents'
I don't recall ever seeing them anywhere except in the UI.
Obviously I realised they were being saved somewhere but never needed to look for them.
Anyway, I will investigate further when I have time.
I use the app sparingly, only when I am moving location a few times per year.
