Receiving the below error:
Cannot read directory "/Volumes/BLP Backup Drive/Other/Audio".

EINVAL: Invalid argument [readdir]
It occurs with multiple folders.
I can access all these in Finder and Forklift.

It is an external hard drive that I want to use for backing up my image archive.

Not sure if the problem is because of the new MacOS 15.1 is not yet supported or there is some other issue. I tried making sure that all groups had full access, FFS has full drive access.

Any suggestions? If not, might need to look for an alternative application as I rely on this all the time.

Discovered the issue.

The external drive was previously used on a windows 11 machine and was formatted in NTFS format. Since NTFS is not fully compatible with MacOS, there lies the issue.

I’ve ordered another SSD, will format it in APFS and try again.

NTFS on Mac strikes again
You could backup the data, reformat the drive, then put the data back. This saves having to buy another drive. exFAT is supported on MacOS and Windows, otherwise APFS/HFS+ are MacOS only

That's not a bad suggestion, but this backup drive is glacially slow. It's OK to do incrementals once the drive is fully setup...but I think this thing is so old it does maybe 300mb/s at max....and it is pushing past the 5 year mark. Not that I'm looking to spend more money, but better to upgrade now and to something newer. I might keep this old around for some deep archiving - but time for the pasture! :)

Just as a last update.

Got the new drive in today. Got it formatted to APFS.
FFS pushed a full backup to this drive from the image drive I have 1.25TB in 20 minutes.
