Hello
I have set up FFS to sync from C:\Users\Gale\OneDrive\Documents to E:\Seagate2TBDocs. Originally those files where updated when I ran the program. However, at some point, something changed.
Now, the files are all in a folder called Documents and when I synchronize, those are the files that are updated.
The files are identical in the two folders (except they are only updated in the Documents folder).
I thought maybe I would make a new configuration, but when I entered E:\Documents, it reverted to E:\Seagate2TBDocs.
The files are updating so that's fine but I don't understand what happened.
Can you help?
Thanks

Using the "Editor & Preview" below the text box, please post a screenshot of the contents of your "E:\" drive.
I'm suspecting that there is some symlink issue or desktop.ini file happening here

Also, the drive letters got switched.
I have 2 external drives going to E and to F and they switched letters.
However the same phenomenon happened in both cases. The documents that are updating ended up in a Documents folder rather than in the folder I had created for the purpose

The files that are updating are identical on both external drives.

According to your screenshot, neither
"E: Seagate2TBDocs"
or
"E: Seagate1TBDocs"
exist, so it's not possible you were syncing there previously

First attachment shows that a file was put in E\Seagate2TBDocs
Second attachment shows it was actually put in E\Documents
Third attachment shows existence of Seagate2TBDocs on F\

My destinations in the program still are:
F:\Freesyncdocs
E:\Seagate2TBDocs

But all the folders including the two above have switched drives

But in both cases the updated files end up in "Documents" and not in the folders I created for them.
As I said they are being backed up so that's fine. But when I tried to redo the configurations to match what is happening, and I typed in the path to Documents, it reverted to the above folders instead

So I have worked out why the drive letters seemed to have switched. Fine.
However I still don't know why the updated files are ending up in "Documents" in both cases instead of in the folders I created (Freesyncdocs and Seagate2TBdocs). This happens both with FFS and Real Time Sync.
The logs all show the files are going to Freesyncdocs and Seagate2TBdocs, however they end up in "Documents". I am unable to create a new configuration to match what is happening. It just reverts to Freesyncdocs and Seagate2TBdocs.
Please advise.
