Hello, I have been using FFS for a long time and just love it! This morning, while doing some regression testing on a project, I noticed that the ".git" folder in my projects were not being backed up. I do not exclude these folders; is there some action I need to take to specifically include them?

How did you notice that?
After a Compare, by default FFS only shows items that result in (proposed) sync actions.
Compare result items that are equal (left vs right) do not result in (proposed) sync actions, and are not visible by default.
This might be the case for your .git items.
You can toggle the visibility per Compare result category by clicking the corresponding icon, mid-below the Compare results.

If you re-compare, does it want to back it up again?
Some OS hide directories that begin with a (.), like, .git.
So maybe it did back it up, only you're just not seeing it?

The compare does not show ".git" missing.
There are no filters set:
There are other folders start with "." and these are backed up. It is NOT an OS display issue.
