I have a 3TB data drive in my computer (no windows files on it). When I synced it to another 3TB drive of the same model on another ESata port on the same computer I get a difference in file count and free drive space. This shows in Explorer and after running chkdsk on both drives. The difference is about 20 Gbs. Total drive space is reported identical.
Why would the free space and files number on two drives not be identical?
