Hi,
I use FreeFileSync for doing backup (mirror) of my home directory. From time to time I extend the filter setting to ignore more files. Currently, on the target side of the mirror these newly ignored files are just ignored and therefore unneeded files keep piling up. Is there a way to tell the mirror to delete these files?

Workaround/solution:
1) Bring source and target in sync
2) Remove the ignored files from filter
3) Click Compare
4) On the right side all files of the target that were ignored before cleaning the filter and are shown
5) Delete all these files by selecting them and press Del
6) Restore the filter settings
7) Click Compare again. No changes should be shown.

I've noticed the same behaviour.
The workarount/solution is obvious, but I think FFS should report this in LastSyncs.log
Can I make a plea for a FFS Change Request involving:
- Reporting files ingnored due to a filter. For example:
[HH:MM:SS] Filt: File "filename" ingnored on source
[HH:MM:SS] Filt: File "filename" left on target
- Perhaps reporting the complete filter.
I work a lot with the batch functionality. And this way, the solution of "regularly using the gui without filters" is reduced.
