I am still happily running FFSync 3.12. I have never updated from 3.12 because I have a dim memory of having had a large set of batch files that were, in effect, trashed when I did an update many versions ago. After updating the program on one computer, I found I had to update the program and batch files on 5 other computers before my intricate sync protocol got back to where it had been before the update. I had expected the existing batch files to be compatible with either version.
Does anyone know if my v 3.12 batch files have to be revised to work with current version or will they work without revision whether the program is current version or 3.12? Thanks.
Will updating to current version trash my existing v 3.12 batch files?

You'll have to migrate both the sync.ffs_gui/sync.ffs_batch and the sync.ffs_db files. For latter the simplest solution is to sync all your directories using FFS 3.12, then upgrade and sync again to overwrite the sync.ffs_db files. For the former two, you may need need to do it either manually via a text editor, or try to load them via GUI and see how much data is preserved.
