Filter and Browse question

I have 4 user pairs constructed for a Sync run Configuration.

It appears from experimentation that any folder/file de-selection in the "COMPARE", holds only for the current run. In other words the "SAVE" icon is dimmed even after de-selecting folders or files. Only when I apply filters does the "SAVE" icon allow a save for future compare/sync runs. Is this correct or am I missing something?

If that is the case, it is different than another sync app I tried since it holds folder/file de-selection as a future run scenario also (regardless of filter additional use).
