FFS Cannot find folders

FFS 5.16 on Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64 bit

FFS fails to find the folders I drag and drop into the Folder fields.
It seems to prefix /home/john/ in front of the path.
I cannot edit the fields.

The fields show the correct paths, but the Status bar above shows the incorrect paths, as reported in the error below

I get this error:-

Cannot find the following folders:

/home/john/file:///home/john/Documents/7-JoTraGo%20Network/1-Setup&Configuration/
/home/john/smb://ds212/jotrago/8-Internal-IT/

You can ignore this error to consider each folder as empty. The folders then will be created automatically during synchronization.
