In order to find out how to achieve what I want in this thread:-
viewtopic.php?t=666
I am setting up a simple mirroring to start with.
C:\Users\username\Pictures\ mirrored to D:\FreeFileSync\
If I have the above as my source and target the first time I run Synchronize > Mirror D:\FreeFileSync\ is matched to C:\Users\username\Pictures\.
However if I then add another folder to C:\Users\username\Pictures\ and again run Synchronize > Mirror this new folder does not show in D:\FreeFileSync\
(The filter symbol is greyed out because it, as yet contains no filters).
Log says nothing to synchronize?
What am I doing wrong?
Mirror not working

Is this the answer.
On rebooting this morning I started FreeFileSync and press Synchronize; it did i.e. it matched the left and right panels. I then did another change in Windows Explorer and pressed Synchronize again; no change. So shut down FreeFileSync then reopened. Synchronize now works.
So I have to shut down FreeFileSync between each Synchronize to ensure it has the latest data?

You don't need to restart FFS, it's sufficient to press the compare button again after any external changes.
