File finder configuration?

Hi,
I want to know if there is a configuration to compare a directory directly against another, rather than comparing both against each other?


Scenario - I want to 'compare' if my external HD contains a few files/folders (perhaps renamed) that exist within a folder on my laptop. I want to compare ONLY those files and folders within my laptop directory with my entire backup directory.


Currently I compare both directories using 'file content'. The output then obviously shows a massive output of files that my laptop directory doesn't have. I tried playing about with the views, but this doesn't achieve what I want.

I guess I'm really looking for is a duplicate file finder, but I thought maybe this program has a configuration for this?
