I use FFS to backup and restore the files for a rather large game that I play and FFS excessively fragments the files during the process, which causes the game to load extremely slow (bout 15 minutes). An option to pre-allocate the full file size before copying would prevent this (at least for an initial mirror job)

Disk space has always been pre-allocated when copying files with FFS.
