Hi, I use freefilesync everyday and I have idea (or maybe it is possible and I didn't know, but I don't think so). I keep my files on local hard disk and keep backing them to portable drive (RealTimeSync is great). But those files take large amount of storage. I used to backup files to compressed, archive version, but it is more convenient to use free file sync than adding new files to archive manually (or making whole new archive file). What do you say, about integrating free file sync with some archive tool (like 7zip) to allow free file sync to compare several files with one archive file and add/delete files to archive. I would use that, despite that it would take more time to make backup (it could be in background, in modern computers we wouldn't feel that, older ones don't need to use it).

+1, it would be a very interesting feature... for backing up purposes even more than syncing...
