Workstation backup - Exclude filter collectio

I'm thinking FFS would be a nice tool to do *like* a workstation backup of a
machine prior to reformatting. Unlike Window's File/Settings transfer though,
I want to sync all local drives to some destination, but exclude unnecessary
files and folders. This could be quite a list, and wondering if anyone has an
EXCLUSION FILTER set already with some ideas of things to exclude. Obviously
system files, temp and transient files, *.DLL, *.SYS, blah-blah-blah. What I'm
after in effect is to get all possible user data - but trying to get a
comprehensive list of (data) file extensions to INCLUDE is more prone to error
and lost files than to come up with a fairly comprehensive list of EXCEPTIONS.

So, does anyone already have a good starting point they're willing to share -
or post some ideas?
