Hello.
We try to use FFS (3.11) in special way. FFS was installed on w2k3 terminal
server with xenapp 4.6. The farm is configured to map local drives into the
the session. Synchronisation from the local mapped drive to the server works
well. The direction from server to the local drives ends in "Windows error
code 5". I suppose, its a persmission problem.
Is there a chance to fix this problem?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your tips.
Best regards.

Sure, but most likely FFS cannot do anything about this issue. I assume
copying via Windows Explorer fails, too?
PS: FFS is already at v3.13

Hello Zenju.
Thanks for your answer.
Copying via Explorer works without any problems. Updating to FFS 3.13 don't
solve the problem. Synchronising to other network drives works. Its impossible
for FFS to set modifying date.
Best regards.

So the error is "Error changing modification time"?
Here's an updated version adding privilege "SE_BACKUP_NAME":
[404, Invalid URL: http://www.file-upload.net/download-3187674/FreeFileSync_Win32.rar.html]
Does it help?

Hello Zenju.
Thanks for your link.
The file was changed. The error message changes too.
Now I've got this:
Error setting privilegue: "SetBackupPrivilege"
Windows Error Code 1030: Assigned to the caller Not all privileges
It seems, there is another problem.
Best regards.

It seems you're not running with admin rights?

Hello, Zenju.
Yes, you're right. On XenApp, my user only have normal user permissions, also
on their workstations. IMHO they don't need more.
On my test client I tested also with a local administrator. The error comes
here again.
Best regards.

Admin rights shouldn't be required in any case, so let's see if we can solve
the issue without them.
For reference, can you post the original full error message?
Could there be some permissions problem, for example that after copying file,
the user doesn't have permissions to change file time anymore?

Hello, Zenju.
You'll find the screenshot here: http://www.sportehrenamtscard.de/download/screenshot.jpg
On the local workstation I was logged in as a Domain-Administrator. On XenApp
I used a normal user witout administrattion privileges. The local folder I
want to use for sync has full permissions to: Group Domain-Adminstrators Group
authenicated user (Domain), Everybody (local group), local users. It seems,
that the FFS has a problem with the local permissions. I don't have an idea
what can the reason here...
Best regards.

I meant the error message when copying modification time. It will help me
locate the relevant place in sourcecode.

One more thing: Can you please retry synchronization again until the error
occurs, but this time monitor everything (only events of FreeFileSync.exe)
with http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb896653 and send me the log?
