I'd like to synch/backup only recent files. Is there any way of specifying a
date filter? Or any other way to limit to recent files?
Filter by date?

When doing this manually the approach is: 1. sort by date, 2. mark and exclude
files that are too old (either via middle grid or outer grid's context menu)

I appreciate your prompt reply. Unfortunately, the procedure you describe is
NOT practical when there are a large number of old files, each of which must
be individually marked for exclusion. A date/time filter seems to be what's
needed. I'd appreciate any other suggestions.

You needn't mark individally: 1. you can "click-drag" multiple rows in the
middle grid 2. you can select multiple rows in the outter grids and use the
right-click-context menu

I really hope it isn't against the rules to comment on an old post, but I have
the exact same question. In the new version is there a way automatically only
check files that were modified today? I am syncronizing 2 directories with
over 550,000 word documents in them and it takes a long time to compare them
both, especially because one directory is at a remote location.
Thanks

There is very little (basically nothing) that could be done about this
problem: You don't know a file's date before you traverse it's folder. The
only filter that can actually speed folder traversal up is excluding specific
directories.
