6.12 Windows 8.1 Install starts and quits if FreeFileSync already up

I like Free File Sync.
Windows 8.1
It checked for updates and I downloaded 6.12
I ran the installer, said no to the browser add on and a few flashes later it bailed with no message.
I closed the previous version, ran the installer again, no problems.
