Multiple processes for FFS during job

I created a batch job to regularly copy a folder of about 20 Outlook PST files, each about 1GB between a Win2012R2 Server and share on a Win8.1 PC. There are multiple processes visible showing the names of on average 4 different files being processed. As these are > 1GB files, this will create a lot of disk fragmentation on the target drive as each process writes to the drive. I assume you did this to increase throughput. Is that correct?
