New file deleted upon sync

I created new files and freeFileSync is trying to delete them whenever I sync. I am syncing with
* FreeFileSync 6.9 (also occured in FFS 6.4)
* <-- Two way -->
* File time and size (not file content)
* excluding symbolic links

The computer that should have the files copied to it have never had these files, and I haev not even been on that computer since creating the 2 files on the other computer. Any idea how the logic could be messing this up? I'm guessing this is user error since it would be such a big bug, and I saw this using FFS 6.4 so upgraded to 6.9 and still see it.

Very strange. Do you have a few screenshot that demonstrate the problem?

Additional info (shouldnt be important) - the files did exist on the computer being copied to but a folder higher. To clarify my set up was

comp1
path/folderA/file1
path/folderA/file2

comp2
path/folderA/folderB/file1NEW
path/folderA/folderB/file2NEW

When using FFS to sync to try to sync computer2 to update computer1 , FFS tries to delete the file1NEW and file2NEW on comp2 , instead of adding it to comp1 (comp1 does have folderB)

Sure, I dont think they will be helpful, but this screen shot has FFS still trying to delete 1 new file "SF 6.1 2014 Enzyme_Nonenz_Protein_Fxn.pptx" from the right side instead of add to the left (the folders above are the left and right side respectively, as they are stacked above FFS, notice the left does not have the file)

You're not using `Two-way sync`: On the big sync button on the right it says "Multiple...". And indeed you've overridden the main sync settings with local sync settings at folder pair level: see the little green gear in the middle. These settings are likely set to "mirror".

Ah indeed, thanks so much (I wonder how many files i lost before this :(
One follow up question, Im actually syncing between 3 machines, one as an intermediary (so in above example there was a comp3 that sycned the new files to comp2. I assume if they are all set up with 2 way sync correctly that will work.

comp1 <--2waySync--> comp2 <--2waySync--> comp3

Yes, that's no problem.
