Hello,

I'm getting the following error when trying synch (two way):

Warning: Cannot set directory lock for "\\networkpath\myfolder".
Cannot write file "\\networkpath\myfolder\sync.ffs_lock".
Error Code 5: Access is denied. (CreateFile)
Setting default synchronization directions: Old files will be overwritten with newer files.
Info: Synchronizing folder pair: [<- Two way ->]

Here's what I'm trying to sink:

1) Mapped network drive
2) MS OneDrive (local folder)

On the network drive, I see that a sync.ffs_db and sync.ffs_lock file is created. I cannot view it's permissions since I do not have any NTFS security. I cannot even change the owner.

The files do get copied over from source 1 to source 2 (and vice versa). However, when I delete a file from source 1, it keeps putting the file back after I run a Sync.

I'm running Windows 10. This used to work with Windows 7.

Thanks!

Update -

I see that the sync_ffs_db and sync_ffs_lock files are on the network drive but I cannot open/view them. I can't delete them neither. This is probably why FreeFileSync does not work properly. It can't write to those files. I did switch computers recently and I did have sync on the old computer. So maybe that is the issue.... but don't know why the files are locked. I can't even delete the files if I log into the file server.
