FFS not detecting folder differences anymore

Until about a month ago i was happily using FFS to back up local folders to my Bitcasa infinite cloud drive by syncing folder content left to right. I had come to use FFS after i found it to be the best and most reliable solution (previously used ChronoSync and Sync Folder Pro), and because it showed me file-syncing progress just the way i liked it.

Then, one day, FFS suddenly failed to detect any folder differences between two folders, even if my local folder on the left was filled with dozens of files and directories, and the right folder on my cloud drive was empty...how could this possibly have suddenly happened when i used FFS to copy some 10TB to my cloud drive without as much as a glitch?

I am on a MacBook Pro Retina, which only runs the Screen Sharing sessions, but am remote controlling a MacMini with OS X 10.9.4 and FFS v.6.9, which does all the work, but this behavior started a couple of versions back and hasn't changed since.

I've even tried changing the compare settings to "File content" (even though it always worked great with "File time and size"), and the Sync method i have always had set to "Update ->" ...never had a problem with those settings until i suddenly did.

What could possibly have gone wrong? I've resorted back to ChronoSync but for the purpose of uploading to my Bitcasa Infinite Drive, FFS is far superior, and i really would like to be able to go back to using it.

What else do you need from me to help me figure out what could be going wrong? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

There must be something wrong with your FFS configuration. Can you post screenshots?

Thanks for looking at this, Zenju!

Not sure why the same settings i had been successfully using for many months would suddenly yield different (no) results, but when i compare the folders showing in the attached screencap, which clearly shows that the folder on the left has 289 folders and the one on the right only 144, it briefly shows "All files are in sync" (see second screencap)...and this has been happening for *every* comparison i've made these past few weeks, until i gave up trying.

My guess would be "user error" as well, but what could i be doing wrong?

How does your filter pane (F7) look like?

oh wow, do i feel silly now! (see attched)

i have no idea how all of that got in there, as i have never used the filter feature before, but my guess is that once i clear all of those filters, things will go back to how they used to be.

and yup! with only the * wildcard in the include field, it found all the files that differ...FFS, my old friend, it's good to have you back!

Zenju, thanks for pointing out my own error to me, and thank you so much for providing us with this amazing tool and your great guidance and support...much appreciated!
