Hello Zenju,
following Situation:
local settings:
mirror
Versioning: T:\ffstestarchiv\%DATE% with Replace
folderpair1:
left side: ffstest1
subfolder: Daten\test.txt
right side:T:\ffstestziel\ffstest1
folderpair2:
left side: ffstest2
(same) subfolder: Daten\test.txt
right side:T:\ffstestziel\ffstest2
first mirror: ok
then both files "test.txt" are changed.
next sync:
only one changed file is in the archiv
Isn't it possible to add/include the foldername of the left side in the archiv-folder,
so that both changed files will be archived?

As both the applicable sub-folders ("Daten") and the applicable file-names ("test.txt") are identical, versioning does not distinguish between the two, because the folder-tree and file name is preserved.
However, if you would use the "standard" versioning format with the naming convention "time-stamp", (option 2 of https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=versioning ) you should find both "test.txt" files in your archive, provided these files have an unequal timestamp.
Still, no way to tell which file comes from where without opening them.
Now, if you would use unequal subfolder names, it becomes a completely different (better) story ...

Hello,
thank you for your replay, i know this solution, but it is not a ellegant solution, because when you have more such same folder/files, its not easy to find out from which basic-folder it comes.

If it is that important to you, why then not use two different syncs, each with their own archive/versioning location ..
