Windows 10 screen turns off suspends FreeFileSync

I just started using FreeFileSync and like it.
I have my power settings to always keep the computer on and turn off the screen in 15 minutes.
I left FreeFileSync running overnight.
When I power on screen and unlocked it, FreeFileSync didn't progress with 3 1/2 hours left on a 4 hour mirror operation.
Does FreeFileSync have a setting to run in the background?

There shouldn't be any setting needed. It looks like FreeFileSync or the entire PC was suspended during the night.
