Why do my "customised folder Icons" revert to their "default icons" after mirror syncronisation?
Can anyone help solve this problem?
Thanks, Royboy.

FreeFileSync does copy the read-only and system attributes for folders:

I'm sorry, but that 2003 article didn't really help me.

If a folder has the Readonly or System flag set, then Explorer will look for a desktop.ini file which describes the folder customizations.

Does this mean that I need to untick the "read-only" box in the 'Properties' of every 'Icon customised' folder to
retain that icon during 'Mirror Syncronisation'?

I think it means that you also need to copy the Hidden-System file, Desktop.ini when you make your syncs.

So in 12:Filters, you want to check the 'Hidden' box.

That's really neat.
Never even really thought about that before, in Windows, though I have seen it, a directory R or S attribute.

Certainly different from Unix, where read-only is read-only & not some quasi-flag that means to "look harder".
