Scheduled a Batch Job to sync between multiple PC's and a data server (all running windows 7). All works well if I execute the jobs manually, but every think jams on a sync.ffs_lock as soon as I try to run a Batch Job (https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=schedule-a-batch-job). All help is much appreciated as I don't understand who to get around this.
Cheers!
Batch Job creates sync.ffs_lock

Where is the ffs installed?
Where are the jobs being ran from?
The server should be both of the answers... other wise, it would be impossible to run the jobs from the workstation trying to backup files on a server that may be under a volume shadow copy which may be causing a lock(?)...
Under the Tool>Option, please select the following options Fail-Safe Copy, Copy Locked Files, Copy DACL, SACL, Owner Group (requires Administrators Right)
on the server, schedule the jobs there > Schedule Tasks and use the batch files for the Task > Run portion of the task.
Check the option to "Enabled (Schedule task runs at specified time) & uncheck the Option to Run only if logged on
