RealTimeSync SFTP error on monitoring

I have a .FFS with a local C: folder as the source/left and a SFTP folder as the destination/right. This is doing a one-way update, nothing coming back from the remote side.
I just want to monitor the local folder and send all updates to the remote system.

I saved this as a _batch and then opened that with RealTimeSync.
If I start RTS in the foreground it shows both the source and the destination as "Folders to watch". It doesn't need to watch the remote side, just the local side. I delete the SFTP folder and Start, and it runs as expected.

Then I create a shortcut to auto-run the sync. But it errors with:
"The following path does not support directory monitoring"
It's no surprise that it's trying to monitor the remote file as described above.

Am I missing how to do this properly? Can this be changed in 8.6?

Thanks!

From this post I'm starting to understand that RTS doesn't work like FFS. It seems it doesn't really care about the sync settings in the .ffs, it's just pulling in all of the the referenced folders and trying to do a simple 100% bi-directional sync. Is that correct?
