I want to copy MP3 files from directory D on my W7 laptop to an USB stick, but not all files; therefore these not-to-be-copied files I check out.
After adding mp3 files in D, I want to resync with previously made exceptions. Before that I obviously saved configuration as a batch file.
However; these exceptions have not been saved so I have to enter them again.
Also the icon in the 'save' button remains gray, indicating no editing of the batch-file.
What am I doing wrong??

You're doing temporary exclusions. To make them permanent, use the filter: https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=exclude-items

Hi,
Thx for the suggestion.
I want to exclude individual files and all files of certain artists.
For the individual files I edit the name of say file 'Adele - Hello.mp3' to 'Adele -- Hello.mp3' and add to a mirror-ffs_batch filee this line :

* -- *.*
, att #1,
which actually excludes the 'Hello'-file from the Target-directory.
Exluding all 'Adele'-files should be possible with

Adel*.*
, att #2, or
\Adel*.*
or
*dele*.*
or
*\*ele*.*\*

but I cannot make that work.

What is it, that I do not understand??
