My computers are on the W10 Insider Fast Ring. Several Fast Ring builds ago, about two weeks ago, Microsoft changed some stuff in their file structures. This change has caused problems with several popular AV programs.
In any case I am using Free File Sync 8.5 on my devices on the W10 Insider Fast Ring. FFS 8.5 is working fine. This morning my time I downloaded FFS 8.6 and attempted to install it.
1. Windows Smart Screen didn't recognize the app. So I clicked run anyway or whatever it said.
2. Got part of the way through the installation, past the McAfee program, which I declined. Anyway as the FFS installer proceeded I got the error message
"C:\Program Files\FreeFileSync\Resources.zip
An error occurred while trying to copy a file
The source file is corrupted"
I have attached picture of the error message
I aborted the installation. P.S. I tried this with FFS 8.6 downloaded from MajorGeeks and Source Forge hosting website and got the same result with both installer files

Sounds like a broken download. Is the installer's signature valid?
