Win 8.1 x64: unable to install? (SOLVED)

Hi all, I have used FreeFileSync for awhile now on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.


Recently I've tried to install on a new machine running Windows 8.1 Pro x64. I have Avast anti virus running, otherwise the install is new with all Windows Updates applied.


Whenever I run the FreeFileSync_8.8_Windows_Setup.exe it immediately deletes itself without any notification. It does not matter if I have Avast disabled or not. Has anyone else run into this? It's really annoying!




Edit: Turned out to be MalwareBytes, it kept deleting the installer without notification! I disabled the stupid trial, and now it installs!
