I have a 4 TB NAS disk that I backup to a dedicated Win 10 machine's internal 4 TB drive overnight. I then back this up to a 4 TB USB drive. All backups are saved as batch files and the Windows 10 Task Scheduler is programmed to run these backups one after the other. The last backup turns the machine off. In creating the batch files I ticked the Create Logs box to save on to C:\.

The machine wakes up at 00:30, runs the backups and switches off. Typical time is about an hour. Perfect!

Except that no log files are created on C:. The standard log file in AppData\Roaming\FreeFileSync is created so I can see what's happening but I would like to have individual log files as well.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards
Pete

Unless FFS is run as administrator it can't write to the root of the system drive C:.
Create a folder like C:\FFSLogs and then point your script to use it.

FFS running as Admin - still no log files in root C:\ Created a folder, like you suggested. Now working fine.
I guess it was silly to try to use the root anyway!
Thanks
