Hello!
I'd like to begin using FFS at work to eliminate manual file moving and renaming that my coworkers and I do on a daily basis. We're a staff of about 20 individuals, and our goal is to automate more of our manual work to free up time for other projects.
Currently, our 3rd party IT provider has this software blocked for use, until we submit sufficient information to show that use is not a security risk. The concern is that adding the software may add malware, create vulnerabilities, or have access to data and not securely protect it. They were also unable to provide an approved alternative that they consider to be safe.
Is there any available evidence against these concerns that I could give to our IT provider and hopefully get FFS approved for use?
Thank you in advance!

What kind of "evidence" was presented by the other software titles that were approved?

Hi Zenju,
Sorry for the delay, as I can't message from my work PC until it's cleared.
I'm working with a team for next steps on this, which is difficult because absences due to the US holiday. An example of a software that was approved is Filezilla.
