After Windows 10 upgrade today (Dec. 13, 2017) for something about new features, I could not sync two folders between my two local hard drives from FreeFileSync Version 9.6. It pops up the error: "Error Code 5: Access is denied. [openDir]". See below.
It was caused by improper ownership of the most inner folder. See the folder properties.Security.Advanced.
The temporary folder, named like "RecycleBin.3ed6.ffs_tmp" is created by FreeFileSync and is supposed to be removed after sync. However, due to the error, it failed sync. I could not even delete the temporary folder manually whatsoever.
I believe there is a compatibility issue between FreeFileSync and the Windows upgrade. Could the developer fix the issue as soon as possible?
Thanks in advance!
