I am long time very satisfied registered user of freefileSync, using it for classical manually triggered syncing between desktop and laptop data files.
After updating to version 9.7 the program refused to report any differing files when comparing, whatever I changed in the settings report screen remained blank. I had to forcefully uninstall the program (regular uninstall version 9.7 returned an error with me too) and reinstall version 9.6 that still works as a charm.
Problem occurred under win10 Pro 64bit. running on i7-7700K desktop with 32GB RAM and SSD drives, ASUS Hero IX MB. Other (uncommon) installed features: MSSQL server, TSplus remote admin server, RAMDisk, TPM module, Corsair Linq. Security: just standard MS win10 AV and firewall.
