Same filename sync

I have a number of folders containing the same filenames but have different contents.

If i set the compare setting to file contents it detects the 2 files are different.

However, how can I then synchronize the folders maintaining both files.

Am I missing something very obvious?

FFS (FreeFileSync) retains the folder structure during syncs.
So, if the identically named files with different content are in different (sub)folders in the folder-tree in the left and right base locations, there should not be a problem.

Unfortunately for me its the same folder structure on both sides. Ideally i'd like to sync both sides and if there is a duplicate name just append the name so there is 2 copies.

Any thoughts on a simple work around?
