Hello everyone,
I use FreeFileSync and RealTimeSync to synchronize folders on my three PC's and to mirror local folders to a cloud service. I've mapped the cloud to a drive letter. RealTimeSync 9.7 monitored the folder on my PC and the cloud folder for any changes without complaining. With version 9.8, I get the error message:
Cannot monitor directory "<driveletter:\directoryname>".
Error Code 1: Incorrect function. [ReadDirectoryChangesW]
Has anything changed in version 9.8? The cloud provider tells me nothing has changed on their side. FreeFileSync 9.8 still works.
Thanks for your time and trouble.
Regards, Jaap.

There shouldn't be a difference between RealTimeSync versions 9.7 and 9.8.

Hello Zenju,
thanks for responding. I think you're right, I just re-installed version 9.7 and it gave me the same error. Another thing I noticed: yesterday night, FreeFileSync completed a mirror of a local folder to the cloud provider. Then, when i told it this morning to mirror the same folder again, it happily began all over again, despite reading the files in the corresponding cloud folder. It shoud have told me there was nothing to mirror. Do you have any ideas what's causing this and how I could correct it?
Regards, Jaap.
