I have a USB drive that when i'm updating it will disconnect at random intervals, it then almost immediately comes back (windows acknowledges and brings up the drive again). FreeFileSync kindly recovers and continues like normal; it continues a few (several) times, until one time it cannot continue.
Prompts to a 'Cannot copy file ...'
"Error Code 3: The system cannot find the path specified. (CopyFileEx)"
Stops since it cannot communicate with the drive anymore. The drive however is active and able to be viewed and modified by explorer or any other program at the same time. Only this program can't seem to reacknowledge itself.
It requires me to re-compare the folders before it will acknowledge the drive has returned and can continue copying files over.
I'd be the first to admit the drive is not doing it's job (randomly dropping), but as FreeFileSync can recover several times from it being dropped for the second or two, one would think it should be able to do this continually.
Has anyone else experience this? I've changed the 'retry count' & 'delay' but it seems that the drive is unrecognizable by the program until you get out of the sync function.
Running ver 7.4
