Hi,
I’m after setting up two different batch files(to be used with realtimesync) with 2 different usb hard drives. First one I’m wanting to just plug in the hard drive and it will back up the files on the desktop. Second one I’m after using a external hard drive as a source and another hard drive as a target all using real time sync(one hard drive is usb, the target is a 3.5inch hdd) I’m wondering if I can put the database files(not a two way, just selecting the ‘detect moved files’ option) and putting the batch files on the hard drives instead of on the computer. Like I said I’m after using realtimesync but as a service. Don’t want the batch and database files on the computer, would prefer those files being on that particular drive. Just wondering if that would work or not

You can put the ffs_batch files wherever you like, but the location of the ffs_db files is fixed.

Even if I run realtimesync as a service I can put a batch file or ffsreal file on the usb hard drive?
Also, on one of them examples I’ll be unable to keep the mirror copy of the files on the laptop as a source(files too big) so could I just keep the empty file structure(same as target) and just update the files over into the correct folders?
Last question, would it be possible to use one external hard drive as a source and another as a target? Using one hdd as a first backup and the second as a second backup
