Directory size = zero Macintosh

Hello, I am new to this software but I ran into a bug and though that I should report it. I hope that this is the correct place to post this.
I am running Mac 10.11.6 .

As a test I synced a 46.1 megabyte folder into an empty folder. It worked perfect except that the formerly empty folder reads as having zero megabytes in it. The files that were copied work fine. They are all there. I tried all the normal things to force the finder to recalculate including quitting the finder, putting an empty folder in it....

When I use the finder to duplicate this folder, the duplicate says zero bytes.
When I duplicate the original, it shows the correct bytes.
