FreeFileSync Portable Version 7.5- An exception occurred

I getting this error Cannot open file "GlobalSettings.xml".
Error Code 32: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (CreateFile)

This is the Windows version of FFS 7.5 running from a USB Flash drive. I know this bug has been reported for previous version of FFS, but I didn't see any fixes or workarounds.

Any suggestions?
