I have been using FFS for a while. Recently I upgraded to Windows 10. I now want to backup my PC as I have been doing before using FFS to a USB Iomega drive. The compare goes fine, but immediately when I run the backup it stops and becomes unresponsive.
I have tried various things. I upgraded the version of FFS to the latest version (7.5) just lastnight but the problem persists. I also uninstalled and reinstalled FFS but this doesn't work either. The process gets so stuck that killing it is sometimes impossible. The only way I can kill it is to shutdown the machine. Screenshots attached.
I really like this program so I'd like to invest some time trying to resolve the issue. Any help would be great.

I think that I had discovered the problem. My USB drive may be faulty. It appears to be working done but when I perform certain operations on it I experience problems. I have used FreeFileSync with another drive without any problems so far. Please consider this item closed.
