Syncing of moved or renamed folders

I'm testing FreeFileSYnc 7.5 (Build: Oct 1 2015 - Unicode x64)

I am pleased with how it detects file moves after I have moved or renamed a file on the source.

But I find a serious problem when I move or rename a folder.

There seems to be no detection of moved or renamed folders. Instead the program treats the situation as if all the underlying files had been moved from an old folder to a new one.

This means that if I rename a folder containing 2000 files on the source; FreeFileSYnc first creates a new folder on the target, then moves all the files, one by one, from the original folder on the target to the new folder on the target, and finally deletes the old folder.

With the link and equipment I am using each rename takes just under 1 second, so with thousands of underlying files the simple change of a folder name can take hours.

Do you have any plans to improve on this behaviour?
