Configurations can be saved at different stages in the sync process, ie:
1. After creating the configuration but before doing a "compare"
2. After creating the configuration and after doing a "compare"
3. After doing a sync
Does it matter when the configuration is saved or will the configuration be properly saved regardless at which stage it is saved?
