I am curious how the databases work. I am currently running an sftp server via a raspberrypi and I synchronize multiple computers to the same directory on this device. I am using two way synchronization with "Detect moved files" checked.
Does each computers filesync processes conflict with/overwrite the local database in the server if the current database was from a different filesync process? Or does each process just build upon the previous one? The reason I am asking this is that when I move files and sub-directories around, filesync is deleting then copying these files to the new location instead of just moving them. This is an intermittent issue which I believe happens when a different computer accessed the communal share folder last.
This isn't a major issue for me, I was just curious if my assumption is correct and if there is anything I can do about it.
Database conflicts/overwrites/deletions when syncing to central folder from multiple computers?
