How does FFS handle drive failures?

From my current understanding, if I use a mirror configuration, deletions on the local drive will also be deleted in the target drive. In the case of a drive failure, if I have a nightly script, will FFS delete everything on the target? My local drive is a pooled drive using StableBit DrivePool so even if a drive fails, the pooled drive is still readable. Would it look like a normal drive just with a lot of deleted files and mirror those deletions on the target? Thanks in advance!
