drive resting

I am new to this wonderful program, my congratulations to the developers. I have been searching for a way to do periodic timed pauses when syncing. I have a 4 TB drive full of music files that will take fourteen hours for the initial sync. If I just let that run unattended, I will have two drives running continually for fourteen hours which would probably kill my drives. I was thinking if I could just tell the sync to run for ten minutes, pause for five minutes, run for ten, etc. that would give the drives a chance to cool down and rest periodically. I do understand that it will add a lot of time to the sync.

I don't understand your concern. Normal drives are designed to be able to run essentially continuously.… If I just let that run unattended, I will have two drives running continually for fourteen hours which would probably kill my drives. ...genoaz, 05 Apr 2019, 22:30

Thanks for your reply. I guess it just seems like that would be pretty hard on the drives. I have Hard Disk Sentinel, I will monitor if there are any problems.

I was also concerned not that the disk was running for fourteen hours straight, but the disk activity light was lit up for fourteen hours straight.
