donation version linux install

Hi,
I've first installed standard version in linux mint using software manager.
After that I've donated and got a link to install donation version.
Downloading it and I have a folder with freefulesync and all.
But How do I replace installed version from software manager with a new one? Or where is even the location of the one installed from software manager, maybe I can just overwrite with new install or?
Any help with installing new donation version over the old standard one is appreciated.
